Electric Music

Private Press Electro Vocoder Bomb by Craig Clark and First Class from 1984

This 12" was manufactured in Columbus Ohio but the label name 'Gem City'
and label art points to Dayton. It's an obscure one and hot too!

Let the music take you on a natural high

D-D-D-Dance

One more Boris Bomb, this time from '83. As with the Makers 45 this also doesn't sound much at all like the majority of his output. The label mentions this tune is from the 'show' "Pushkin-The Black Russian", whatever that was and how this tune would be fitting in there is anyone's guess.

Albeit a bit more friendly, this tune really reminds me of Suicide, and seeing as Boris was based in NYC at the time i wonder if there was an influence there.

Don't Challenge Me

a B-B-B-Beautiful and Extremely scarce 45 written, produced & released by Boris Midney, a Florida transplant by way of Russia. Released around 1972, it's surprisingly deep and heavy on the synth tip. No idea who the songbird is on this cut but she is HEAVENLY

I Love Every Little Thing About You

...from the abstract Gurgling background funk of the Arp synth to the simple Drums to Stevie's Clavinet sound and background Vocal bits to the lovely Piano hammers...

Nothin' Fits Me Like You, Babe

Maybe not for everyone, it's soft and a bit cheesy for sure, but it has it's charm and a Great bubbling synth line throughout it's 11+ minutes
